Meet Misty!
This adorable little pocket pittie is a total bundle of joy-- just look at that ear-to-ear smile! When Misty came to Defenders, she was emaciated, anemic, and dealing with some skin issues. All her ribs and hip bones were visible, and she needed baths to help regulate her skin condition. Despite this, she was immediately trusting of us and super affectionate. We've pampered this gorgeous girl and got her feeling like herself again!
Misty has a lot of love to give and is looking for an adopter that will embrace her goofy personality. She tends to get overlooked because she's got the typical "mean pittie" look and she can be a bit of a wild child in the kennel, but she's actually a complete angel. Once she gets all her energy out, she's happiest just lounging aroud with her people.
We believe Misty would prefer to be the only animal in the household. She especially should not be around cats, small animals, or farm animals due to her high prey drive. She's been through a lot of stress in her life and has a tendency to get overstimulated, but we believe that once she's finally in a warm, loving home, she'll feel safe enough to relax a bit.
