Lost and Found Pet Support
If you have found or lost an animal, the first point of contact should be the Animal Control Facility that services the location where the animal was picked up or last seen. Each county has different regulations on what steps must be taken when a pet is found, stray holds, and information required for reclaiming an animal, so be sure to familiarize yourself with the policies of your local organization!
Additionally, it may be helpful to check Lost/Found Animal groups on Facebook and Nextdoor for sightings and findings.
Baltimore County Animal Services has launched 5 microchip scanning stations across the county, listed below. Additionally, you can bring found animals to any veterinary clinic or shelter to be scanned for a microchip.
