Meet Duchess!
Duchess is THE CUTEST pocket pittie. And she's looking for a home!
This gorgeous gorgeous girl was a voluntary surrender at our sister shelter down south, due to the health and age of her owner. When we saw her picture show up on the rescue plea, we just knew we had to have her.
Duchess is everything we could have possibly hoped for. She is incredibly loving and cuddly. She wants to be as close to you as possible at all times-- preferably in your lap, but snuggled right next to you is a close second. Despite her age, she's still very spry and playful. She loves wrestling and horsing around, and really enjoys spending time in the fenced yard. She walks well on lead and is very housebroken.
And her name, unsurprisingly, suits her-- she adores being pampered and doted on. She loves being adorned in her satin jammies and having her breakfast in a plush bed. This princess deserves the world-- and that starts with finding her a forever home.
Duchess is good with other dogs, though selective and likes to be the boss. She loves kids-- actually, she loves any person willing to give her a bit of attention. Her one hard line is that she cannot live with cats or small animals due to her high prey drive. But you can rest easy knowing that little pests will avoid your home thanks to this fearsome beast.
