Available Small Animals

Defenders has more than just cats and dogs! Check out our list of adoptable small animal friends, from fuzzy to scaly! If you'd like to know more about any specific one, please give us a call and we can chat in more detail. Check our Adoption Information page for more information on the adoption process. You must be 21 or older to adopt and be able to present a lease with a pet addendum if you rent. Additional requirements may vary depending on the animal. For adopters interested in our small animals, we will require photos of the habitat they will be living in after they go home.

Rabbits & Rodents

  • All adoptable rabbits, guinea pigs, and rats in our care are fixed and fully vetted.
  • Rats must go home in groups of at least two.
