THE ADOPTION PROCESS
INITIAL APPLICATION
Fill out our application online or in person. Potential adopters must fill out the application completely before being allowed to meet with any animal.
BACKGROUND CHECK
Our adoption counselors will review your application and check references, including contacting your veterinarian. Allow up to 24 hours for your application to be processed.
MEET AND GREET
All members of the household are required to come meet the desired animal. If adopting a dog, we require an introduction to the dogs currently living in the home.

ADOPTION FAQ
What is the adoption fee?
We pride ourselves on keeping adoption prices low while investing a lot of care into our animals. Adoptions are $100 regardless of species, age, breed, or size. We do not offer waived fees.
Do I need an appointment?
Appointments are not required, but are highly recommended so we can ensure that potential adopters get an appropriate amount of one-on-one time with the animals.
What is the age requirement?
Adopters must be 21 or older to adopt. If the lifespan of the animal is expected to exceed that of the adopter, we require a backup to be present for the adoption in case the adopter is unable to care for the animal.
Can I adopt if I rent?
Yes! Renters are welcome to adopt as long is the animal is an appropriate fit for the residence. We require renters to provide a copy of their lease and a list of any restrictions put in place by their leasing company.
When are adoptions available?
We are open for adoptions Tuesday through Friday from 10 am to 4:30 pm and Saturdays from 10 am to 3:30 pm.
What if I am out of town/state?
Non-local adoptions are considered on a case-by-case basis. We do not allow adoptions sight unseen, do not hold animals, and will not transport them. Multiple visits may also be required for certain adoptions.
